We are halfway through Quarter 1 and most, if not all, students should have received a progress report. Have you asked your student(s) for their progress report?
If your student received good grades, did you say anything encouraging such as "Nice job", or "Keep up the good work? Sometimes students need to know their hard work does not go unnoticed.
If your student received bad* grades, did you give them a chance to explain?
"I failed a test." "I did not understand the material." "I don't know how to ask my teacher for help." "My teacher doesn't help me when I ask." "I can't catch up in class and with my frustration, I often give up."
Did you sit down with them and create a road map or game plan for passing the class? Did you encourage them to write down some goals? Did you schedule a parent teacher-conference so you can be well informed about the topics covered in class, homework, the classroom routine, and testing formats (i.e., multiple choice, fill in the blank, etc.) and frequency (i.e., every Friday, at the end of every chapter, etc.)? Did you look into tutoring, after-school programs, or online resources that could help?
There are so many ways you can help or encourage your students. School is hard. What are some ways you or your student can make it easier? Let's start with your level of support.

There will be no sessions available Monday, September 2nd because of Labor Day. The Jacksonville Public Library closes for national holidays, therefore, no sessions may occur on those designated days. Sessions will reconvene on Tuesday.

FAQ: Can I book multiple appointments at once?
Unfortunately, you cannot book multiple appointments in the same setting. After you have completely sign up and paid for one session, you will see the following page. It will allow you to add the appointment to your calendar, reschedule, or BOOK AGAIN. Please select book again if you would like to book a different climber or additional days.

Step 1: Click on the Service (Solo Climbs Only)
Step 2: Specify the type of Solo Climb
Step 3: Click on your desired staff member. If you do not have a preference, click "Any Staff".
Step 4: Now you can view all available days and times. use the arrows to move the calendar or click "go to next available." Once you find the day and time you want, click on it!
Do not see any time you like, join the waitlist!
**The waitlist is to secure your spot on the mountain in case there is a cancellation (e.g., Aug. 4th was "booked," but a climber cancelled, you would be moved to their appointment slot) and/or we are able to accommodate your request (i.e., it is the tutors discretion to add additional time slots or change their availability for that designated day (Unavailable ----> Available)).**
Step 5: You are almost done with booking! Please enter the parent/guardian information here, students name, any appointment notes, and then enter your payment method.
Once you have filled in the necessary information, click "Book Appointment."
Step 1: View all Workshops or Social climbs then select the one you want. Be sure to check the date and time the class is offered!
You can change how you view the screen by clicking on "display" in the left hand corner.
Step 2: You will see a description of the class, when it will take place, the staff member assigned to the class, and... HOW MANY SPOTS ARE AVAILABLE!
Click "Book Class". You will see the same payment page that was seen above if you booked a Solo Climb.
